Historically, mobile homes were considered a depreciating asset - like a car. However, that is not the case in today's market.

Land lease home ownership is an option similar to condo ownership, where you don't own the land but you own the home.  With manufactured housing, you have options to select the location for your brand new home - which impacts the potential resale value.
